Rotaract, a global youth service organization, has adopted the same seven areas of focus as Rotary International. These areas serve as the primary areas of focus for Rotaract clubs around the world. The seven areas of focus are:
1. Peace and Conflict Resolution: Promoting peace, preventing conflicts, and resolving conflicts through dialogue, mediation, and other peaceful means.
2. Disease Prevention and Treatment: Working towards the prevention and treatment of diseases, particularly those that disproportionately affect disadvantaged communities.
3. Water and Sanitation: Providing access to clean water, improving sanitation facilities, and promoting hygiene practices in communities that lack these basic necessities.
4. Maternal and Child Health: Improving the health and well-being of mothers and children through healthcare interventions, access to essential services, and health education.
5. Basic Education and Literacy: Promoting literacy, supporting education initiatives, and enhancing access to quality education for children and adults.
6. Economic and Community Development: Encouraging sustainable development, empowering communities, and supporting projects that foster economic growth and self-sufficiency.
7. Environmental Sustainability: Addressing environmental challenges, promoting conservation, and advocating for sustainable practices to protect and preserve the planet.
These seven areas of focus provide a framework for Rotaract clubs to plan and implement impactful service projects that align with Rotary's global goals and priorities.
